1. Unable to find the PagerDuty app into Menu –
- First check you added the PageDuty app into your ServiceNow menu. If you did not added it from ServiceNow store.
- If you recently download and install the app then do hard refresh by pressing(CTR + F5). After that logout and login to your servicenow this will pull down settings and show you PageDuty app into menu. This is the common problem many users faces.
- If you tried above steps then check your browser if there any plugin that could prevent the installation from succeeding.
2. ServiceNow incident do not trigger PageDuty –
- Check the all Rest api connection by clicking to PageDuty.
- After that click to Configuration.
- Then click on Test REST API Connection.
- Check the condition which are trrigred is met.
- Next check setting of ServiceNow
- Go to settings under pagerduty
- Then open Configuration
- Then click on PageDuty Setting
- If the auto-provisioning is disable then use Default PagerDuty ID.
3. Check extensions on PagerDuty services –
- Check the website URL is correct or not. the host which is accessing service now they both should be in same domain of ServiceNow. PageDuty is integrated with ServiceNow.
- You have to update your website URL to reflect your production instance into ServiceNow tool.
4. If BASICAuth script is not configured in ServiceNow the you will get connection failed error in enterprise manager tool and no massage displayed in the logs for ServiceNow tool –
- Add the BASICAuth script to your ServiceNow script.
5. Invalid Web Service Credentials –
- Login to Oracle Enterprise Manager console with admin account username and password.
- Then you are in Enterprise Manager console.
- After that click menu button.
- Then select Extensibility.
- And then select or open self update.
- In self update page click on management connectors from the menu.
- Click on the proper name.
- This will give you edit mode, enable you to configure the connector.
- After that correct the username and password of ServiceNow web service fields.
- Then click on OK button.
6. Invalid IP Address –
Verify the host name/IP address is correct or not.
- Login to Oracle Enterprise Manager console with admin account username and password.
- Then you are in Enterprise Manager console.
- After that click setup menu button.
- Then select Extensibility.
- And then select or open self update.
- In self update page click on management connectors from the menu.
- Click the proper ServiceNow connector.
- Check the host name and IP address specified in the URL for the create Event and update Event operations are correct.
- If the host name and IP address is correct then click on OK button. If not then fill the proper data and then click on OK button.
7. Invalid Port Number –
- Login to Oracle Enterprise Manager console with admin account Userername and password.
- Then you are in Enterprise Manager console.
- After that click setup menu button.
- Then select Extensibility.
- And then select or open self update.
- In self update page click on management connectors from the menu.
- Click the proper ServiceNow connector.
8. How to improve ServiceNow Performance –
- This below things you can do to improve your ServiceNow performance.
- Limit number of columns in the report in ServiceNow.
- Remove extraneous reports in your dashboard of ServiceNow.
- Set your ServiceNow limits to 100 or lower than 100 in your dashboard.
9. Some user can not update some data on ServiceNow from PagerDuty –
- Check the users email address in ServiceNow and make sure the user mail is correct which is mention in ServiceNow while registration.
